After nine months of working in the marketing department at Adventures in Missions, writing copy and curating social media, I am excited to announce that I am going back out on the field!
Praise the Lamb!
(Happy legs dance)
My spirit is yearning for a new adventure with the Lord…
to experience new beginnings, travel, explore, meet a new culture and people, pass through the ins-and-outs of life on the field again, do ministry with passionate young world changers, and meet the needs of those in need.
Originally, I planned to lead trips this summer with our short term department. They offer trips for middle and high school, youth groups, churches, and adults.
I was all set to lead a two-week trip to Nicaragua and a three-week trip to Puerto Rico. Then about a week ago, I found out that there was an abundance of leaders for our short term trips and not enough for our two-month trips for Passport.
I felt the Lord calling me to go. Passport offers 1-9 month trips for 18-22 year olds. Participants "secure their identity in Christ, get equipped, and grow empowered to advance God's kingdom. In addition to sharing and living out the gospel in community, Passporters may be presented with the opportunity to seek justice on behalf of orphans, the poor, and the trafficked."
I applied, interviewed, and was accepted.
They are still determining which country and co-leader will be the best fit for me, but I should find out within the next few days. I will leave the US on June 4th after training and return July 26th.
Having been in their shoes, I couldn't be more excited and honored to lead and disciple these young adults
It is not always an easy process, but becoming like Christ is worth any cost. Picking up, leaving home, relying completely on the Father for his needs, and going out to make disciples is what Jesus did as he was listening to the Father. As I listen, I hear him calling me specifically to the same thing in this season, so I must go. I will obey. I will pack up, leave and rely on him for my needs as I make disciples.
I need to raise $1,500. I have nothing, so this seems like a lot of money to me, but in reality, God's got all the money in the world so I am confidently trusting my Father to supply all my needs. He always provides.
Thank you to everyone who has believed in me, journeyed with me, and supported me financially.
If you'd like to donate, you can do so HERE. Know that by donating, you aren't just supporting me financialy, but you are investing in Jesus' work of making disciples and meeting the needs of those in need.
so excited for youuuuu!!!!
