Weekend Update
Today the office is abuzzz! Training camp for Second Generation M, N, O & P Squads (Jan '13) starts.
250 World Racers who are ready to serve the nations camping out in the wilds of Georgia. It's a generation coming alive to their identity and calling in Christ. My role this next week: serve team (cooking, cleaning, set up, etc) and marketing projects (interviews, blogs, video, selling merch).

Busy, busy, but I love it.

That's what's coming up.
Here's what this past week has looked like:

HOME
All of the CGA ladies moved into the main house. I'm finally settled in a room and bed, for now, and getting to know my new roommates. I realized yesterday that I haven't been in one place for more than a month in about 14 months. I love the nomadic lifestyle, but I'm definitely grateful to have a little stability for this season. We had some help from the men moving bunk beds and putting together our furniture. Thank you men of the CGA! I love my bed and fantastic view. I'm so thankful. These are my three new beautiful roommates:

WORK

Lacee Peloquin, my dear teammate for 8 months of the Race moved to town all the way from Texas this week and is now working with me in marketing department! Yay!

I'm an apprentice in the marketing department. Which means: writing blogs, re-writing blogs, reading blogs, posting on and monitering social media networks like Facebook & Twitter, copywriting for the website, etc. Since my interest is in video. I've been learning how the concept and planning process works this week, even helping with some video projects. I love that I get to learn how to do what I want to do alongside people who already do it. I'm learning a lot and getting to put it into application.

I was able to go to University of Georgia in Athens last night  for a recruiting event. We talked at a campus ministry meeting about short & long term missions. I got to share some of my experiences from traveling around the world. It was encouraging to see students my age excited about missions.

It's still hard to think of myself as a missionary, a long-term one at that. It doesn't look at all like what I thought it would, but I love every moment.

I also had training this week  for the part time job I'll be doing a couple nights a week, starting after training camp.

PLAY

Free fun day at Six Flags Saturday. These faces: Priceless.
