It's only been a week since I was at training camp with 150+ World Racers on fire for God and ready to shake the earth for God's glory. A week, but it feels so distant. That week in the mountains of Tenessee changed my life and perspective more than I could have imagined. I've gained an incredibly amazing spiritual family – something I've had in small doses before, but never to such a capacity as I do now. The forty-seven people I will be leaving with for Kenya in August have taken up a huge portion of my heart and without them around, I feel the absence of their presence. Can you imagine what it's like to meet that many strangers in one day and have them instantly love you for who you are and even where you are in your life no matter what? Knowing you're about to share an life changing journey,..to have an instant connection like that was incredible.
As a squad, the "y-squad" to be exact, we became family really fast. We lived together, ate together (imagine sharing a bowl of food with 7 other people and no utensils), worshipped together, laughed together and cried together. We bonded.
At camp, I got a real taste of community living – which is what I believe we were intended for. I gained a family. I got a lot of inner healing. I was prepared for things to come. I got a glimpse into what life on the Race will be like…and I CAN'T WAIT!
I can't give too much of the specifics of what we did at camp away in case any future Racers are reading this. It's supposed to be a suprise! But if you are a future Racer, here is my advice: Don't go in with expectations. Lay those expectations down – you don't need them, just get ready to be totally wrecked by and for God. You'll love it!

We also got split up into our smaller teams that we will be working more closely with during the Race. I am on the only all girls team! I am very much looking forward to getting to know these wonderful women of God better, serving them and ministering with them.
